Katja Driess

Katja Driess joined MikullaGoldmann PR in summer 2005 where she supports the agency as a freelance PR consultant. Born in 1967 in the town of Kaiserslautern in southwest Germany, she moved to Munich in 1997 to begin her career.

The decision to become a PR professional was made early on during her studies in Political Science and Roman Languages at the University of Stuttgart. Following completion of a traineeship at Ketchum PR, she found employment as a PR Account Executive with the music software company MAGIX Entertainment GmbH.

Always keen to travel, she switched branches in 1999 to join the tourism PR agency ZFL PRCo. She ultimately held the position of Account Director at ZFL, working for clients such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Accor Leisure & Tourism, the tour operator The Mediterranean Experience, the states Yap and Palau in Micronesia and single hotels such as Forte Village in Sardinia or Kloster Hornbach in Germany.

Over a period of more than six years at ZFL PRCo, Katja Driess acquired indepth knowledge of the travel industry as well as establishing excellent contacts to tourism partners and key media in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

At MikullaGoldmann PR, Katja Driess implements her substantial hotel expertise to promote the Hyatt International Hotels & Resorts and the European budget chain Motel One. She speaks English and French fluently; her Bavarian language skills are still being perfected.
